Julie Sadler PACT Memorial Scholarship

The Julie Sadler PACT Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 to honor the late founder and President of Indiana Women’s Flag Football League, Julie Meggan Sadler.  Julie was an exceptionally enthusiastic and motivated woman committed to supporting female athletes and building a vibrant community of female athletes in Indiana, Pennsylvania.  Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Julie initially immigrated to the United States on a hockey scholarship to Elmira College in Elmira, New York.

In 2015, Julie co-founded the Indiana Women’s Flag Football League in Indiana, Pennsylvania with the mission of building a strong and supportive community of female athletes of all ages.  Shortly after the fourth season of the Indiana Women’s Flag Football league, Julie was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, she lost her battle to the disease a short three months later.  In establishing this scholarship, we are looking to continue her legacy of support for female athletes in our community.

The scholarship is awarded annually to a female student-athlete graduating from an Indiana County High School and pursuing post-secondary education.   

About the PACT Trust

The Indiana Women's Flag Football League is proudly partnering with Prayers Answered Charity Tournaments (PACT) to offer this scholarship.  PACT’s mission is to encourage individuals to participate in a life-changing experience that brings a community together aimed to promote fellowship and provide for families who have been impacted by hardship.

​Founded in 2017 by Ryan Good, PACT has hosted an annual community tournament that has provided financial assistance to families who have been affected by a tragedy. Each year, a family was chosen and the entire proceeds raised at each, were donated to that family. In 2019, PACT officially became a Trust and has continuously evolved since it was established. The organization has expanded from hosting just a single tournament the first two years, to now hosting multiple tournaments in 2020.

How to Contribute:

This scholarship is funded through monies raised by the Julie Sadler PACT Memorial Tournament, held annually in November at Mack Park in Indiana, PA.   If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund directly you may do so online using the "Donate" button below or through the mail.  IWFFL is a 501c4 non-profit organization, your donations are not tax-deductable.
