FIELD WEEK:

Field Painting & Field Set-Up
Each team is responsible for ONE WEEK of field painting and set up (see schedule below). For field painting: 2-3 players should paint the field between Saturday and Wednesday before the game.  For field set-up: 3 - 4 players should arrive early (6 pm) on the day of the game.

Field  Tear-Down
When the games are over, we have a "Losers clean the field" policy.  If you find yourself in that position (or even if you don't), please grab some pylons, scoreboard, or end zone sign and drop them off at Kaycee's truck (parked near the entrance).  The quicker we can do this, the quicker our we can unload the equipment and get to the bar! :)

REFEREES:

Each team is responsible for recruiting a volunteer(s) to referee their game.  These officials will only be refereeing a limited number of things:

Line Ref Responsibilities:
1) Count the downs
2) Watch the Line of Scrimmage for QB Sacks, false starts, or illegal formations.

Field Ref Responsibilities:
1) Follow the ball and mark the end of the play
2) Call first-downs
3) Call touchdowns

If your team is unable to find a volunteer or they don't show up, a player from your team will have to step in as a referee.  Players may switch out at half so they can still play 1/2 the game.

If contact penalties become a problem the team captains will discuss the issue on the field.

MACK PARK ETIQUETTE:

For those who don’t know: Mack Park is a private park owned and operated by the JS Mack Foundation and maintained by Paul (the league's biggest champion).  They run the park on a tight budget and we need to do everything we can to treat the park like our own home. For the seventh year in a row, Mack Park has kindly allowed us to play on their fields without a field fee.  In return we ask that players volunteer for our yearly work-project to give back! We will reach out via email and social media when that project has been decided.

Parking @ Mack
To park next to the field, use at Entrance #1 off Hospital Dr.  Parking is limited at the grandstands. Paul, the Mack Park groundskeeper has asked that we do not park in the grass.  This leaves ruts in the grass that need to be fixed (it’s costly). Please park smart (close together) and carpool to reduce the # of cars.  Do not drive down the walking trail from the 6th St entrance or the back road behind the barns.

Overflow Parking
We have received permission to use the parking lot across the street as overflow.  Please keep it clean! This goes TRIPLE for that lot because we can easily get permission revoked - then we’d be screwed and y’all would have to bus your asses to the field!

Bathroom Access
We have open access to the bathrooms near the fields (you'll pass the blue building when you come in).  Over the last 4 years we have put a lot of volunteer hours into making those bathrooms clean and nice.  Please do your part to keep them that way.  Your league registration also covers the cost of toilet paper ;)

Cleanliness
Pick up after yourself and your team.  Do not leave anything on the field.  Alcohol is PROHIBITED (so if they find beer cans in the trash, we will hear about it!!)  We have earned a reputation for being polite and clean.  Let’s keep it that way :)

Children
We ask that children are not left to roam unattended at Mack Park.  Please make an effort to have someone there who can keep an eye on your kids.  Packs of unattended children have been known to throw rocks at cars and scale the grandstand bleachers (neither are ok).

Dogs
Dogs must be leashed.  No exceptions.

Post Game Celebrations
Don’t litter, and don’t stay past 8:30ish. Paul has to lock up the park and he gets up early in the morning so please don’t make him kick you out.  If he has to kick you out, we hear about it and then you’re officially a pain in our ass too. ;)

We party at our sponsor, Brunzies Bar, every Thursday after the games.  This is where we all get to know each other and it’s ½ of the fun!

FIELD BAGS

Along with your field scoreboard, each field will be equipped with referee and first-aid essentials in a clear waterproof bag.  No more running all the way back to the entrance for first-aid supplies!  However, we will not be checking the bags once the season starts so if you use something important like an ice pack and we need to replenish please send us an email or text AFTER the game (if you mention it at the bar or in the middle of a game, we will 100% forget).
